    Cleaning fumes

I understand that. As I mentioned, I do not have a carrier for him. I would take him to the bedrooms with an open window and closed door to the rest of the house, but I cannot supervise right now. I may be able to find a shoe box. Is that good? How do I know if he is having trouble breathing?

    Cleaning fumes

Hi all. I'm not sure how many of you are aware, but Passover is quickly approaching for us Jews. I am Orthodox, so me and my family are very strict about the rules etc, and for Passover, that includes cleaning the house from top to bottom to remove pretty much any food (in reality the rule is...

Expected Power Outage + Winter Weather

Thank you! Public schools in the area are online today, and the school where I work cancelled. Looks like it only turned to snow around two hours ago, and it's supposed to keep snowing for pretty much the rest of the day as far as I can tell. We got around 2 inches so far. The power is holding...

Expected Power Outage + Winter Weather

I don't have a walmart near me, and Idon't think I'll be able to get out again tonight. I will try to order for next time. Can a hot water bottle wrapped in towels do the same thing?

Expected Power Outage + Winter Weather

Hi all. I have a bearded dragon a little over a year and a half old. My area is expecting a major storm, starting with rain tonight and turning into snow by the morning. We're expecting up to 10 inches depending on the path of the storm, and the power company sent a message to expect an outage...

Where to buy bee pollen powder

I have heard from this website that bee pollen powder can help entice beardies to eat their salads. Mine HATES to eat his veggies, even when i put worms in there he's just eat the worms off the top and give up when they go under. I want to try to get bee pollen powder to help him get to like it...

    Full belly

When we need the light in the room we cover the whole thing with blankets. Otherwise we get glared at!

Hello there! Not an owner yet.

I applaud you for doing your research!! So many people just buy these animals and don't have a clue about how to care for them. It's so great that you're doing your research so that when you do get your little guy you can care for him the best that you can. A large enclosure should be fine for...

    Small scratch on beard

Thank you. I don't have any on hand. Where can I buy it? How often should I reapply it?

    Small scratch on beard

Hi everyone! So I learned a lesson today: No more letting Herman run around on the table. He usually loves running around on our dining room table. It's great enrichment for him, and I usually work at the dining room table when I need a change of scenery from my bedroom lol, so I can keep an eye...

Question about probe thermometer and basking bulb

Yes thank you. Sorry I didn't respond earlier. His cool side sits at about 77F. Is that good? At night it can get down to 66 or so during the winter. I plan on checking his temps when I get home from work tomorrow all around the enclosure, so we'll see if another bulb is truly needed but I...

Question about probe thermometer and basking bulb

Yes I keep a close eye on him. How would he let me know? He does sometimes sit in that spot but he moves when doesn't want to be there. Plus I rarely see him gaping. When you say that his behavior will tell me, what did you mean?

Question about probe thermometer and basking bulb

Thank you. I moved the probe around a bit, the hottest spot gets up to 105F. Is that too hot? The reason temps were cooler was because the probe wasn't in the hottest spot on his rock, I made a mistake. Sometimes the dome where the bulb is gets shifted during the day, especially when my younger...

Question about probe thermometer and basking bulb

Update: The thermometer arrived Thursday night and installed Friday morning after his lights turned on, and temps were great, his basking spot was around 105 degrees. However we had some snow today and his enclosure is kept near a window. Last year in the winter if the temps were supposed to dip...
