Can you use fluorescent fixtures from walmart for the UVB?

T-8 and T-5's are fluorescent tube sizes. It's like the diameter or where the sockets plug into the tubes. If you can't tell by looking at them (it's easy T-8's are a bigger diameter than the T-5's) It should say what type of fixtures they are on the box. The most common sizes are T-5s, T-8s and...

Can you use fluorescent fixtures from walmart for the UVB?

Yeah, they are super cheap at Walmart just make sure you take the plastic cover off of the fixture so nothing will block the UVB light. Yes, Unless your Walmart has a ReptiSun 10.0 fluorescent tubes (mine doesn't) you will want to get a UVB 10.0 from a pet store or online just make sure if it's...

10 Roaches To Start a Colony

That's a great Idea! I wish I started my Dubia Colony before I got my beardie... You could post in the free section here! I'm sure someone will pick up some males(I would) lol. It really depends on how fast you want to start your colony/feeding from it and how much your beardie eats. -Justin

Looking For Affordable And Honest Dubia Supplier

Awww sorry to hear, did you try to contact Dubi Deli? The only other option I can think of is try craigslist. You maybe able to haggle with the craigslist ads I do lol. For example it will say "100 dubias for $10.00" then I reply and say "can I buy 200 nymphs and 5 females(or something) for...

    How big is too big?

Yeah I agree. I like a floor space of 4'x2' and a height 1'6"-2' depending on how you want to mount your lights(inside the vivarium or on top of the vivarium). -Justin

Looking For Affordable And Honest Dubia Supplier

I'm not 100%, but I think they should. I ordered about 500 then a few females and males in a previous order and they came in a 500 nymphs in a bag then the adults had 2 separate bags like that too. Just a little tip; The easiest way to take them out is to dump as much as you can out, then flip...

Is my enclosure suitable for a baby beardie.

"The temperature for this basking spot you created should be around 105f to 110f for babies, 105f for juvenites and can be around 95f to 102f for adults. Although I don't recommend any temps above 110f, within a few degrees of these basking temps will be sufficient." Taken from...
