My Beardie Vomitting and Rasping, Respirartory?

I am not an expert but I do read pretty much every post on this site... It seems like with a respiratory infection you need a vet. I know that sometimes keeping them warmer at night helps but by the time beardies seem sick they are pretty bad off. I would take him to a vet today if possible. I...

My understanding is that the arcadia is better if you are able to get it (in the UK).

Cyst in eye - bulging after surgery, help!

I don't know why you aren't getting more responses and I don't have any great answers for you. All I know for sure is that his eye is way more swollen than it should be. I am a nurse and work primarily with post op patients and I can tell you for sure that having that amount of swelling is worth...

    THEY KEEP DYING!!!!????

I think either maybe what you wrote was misread... either by me or everyone else... are you taking your temps with a STICK ON THERMOMETER or a digital with a probe? It looks to me like you are taking them with a stick on and those can be up to 20 degrees off because they take the temp of the...

    Hornworms

Can I refrigerate hornworms? I think I read somewhere that I could put them in the fridge once I they reached the maximum size that I wanted them so that they would stop growing. Is this true or will they die? Thanks!

    Butterworms as a staple??

I am going to try butterworms as a staple. I just got my first order of them. I love that they can be kept in the fridge. They don't require feeding and that is also a huge plus. I don't love feeding my feeders! or bug poop... I really don't like bugs at all...

    MY Setup.

Elijahsmom, putting the uvb light on top of my tank puts it too far away from the basking spot. My tank is 18 inches high so it was impossible to get the light within 6 - 8inches of the basking spot without making the basking spot really high and way too hot. Looking at the pictures of the set...

    MY Setup.

I got a fixture at walmart for about $12 for my reptisun. I have it mounted inside the tank with 2 suction cups. The really strong kind that you press down on and they kind of lock in place. They hold it really well. The cord runs up the side of the tank and out under the screen. It was pretty...

Vets not too helpful. Any advice on lethargic beardie?

A lot of members on here have used baby food, my understanding is squash is a popular one. Also, I have used 100% pure canned pumpkin. Usually, if you put it in a tiny needless syringe and drip it on their nose they will lick it off. My baby never would, so I take the syringe and rub it gently...

Vets not too helpful. Any advice on lethargic beardie?

ZooMed is reptisun, so that is good... do you have the 10.0 linear tube? Also, 90 degrees F is not warm enough. A baby beardie need temps of 105 - 110 on the basking spot, measured with a digital thermometer with a probe. An air temp of 90 might be okay but it all really depends on getting an...

I cant figure out whats wrong with my BD!

So, you have a MVB (T- Rex) and he can get within 6 - 7 inches of it and is in a 20gallon tank... I think I read all of this between your 2 treads, if I am wrong forgive me. From everything I have read MVB are dangerously hot if they are used in tanks less than 40gallons. Also the MINIMUM safe...
