Just a little info required if possible. Heres the story...
Basically, whats been happening, is that my lizard Boris, has been eating less and less just recently and has now started not eating at all. He spends most of his day asleep, out of the way of his basking spot, in his cave, or under his logs. I have fetched him out from his hides, purely because he has been cold and inactive all day, and I have been getting worried. He has been getting mad with me disturbing him, and he never gets mad with me normally, so naturally I have been getting more and more worried. He is just over a year old, and for him to have such a sudden change in attitude/personality has shocked me enough in order for me to take him to the vet.
The vet has assured me he is a fully healthy lizzard, and cannot find anything wrong with him.
After doing some more research, I have decided that my little mate Boris, has decided he wants to Brumate for the 1st time, and is getting annoyed with me keep disturbing him. So Im going to give him a chance to lay in his cave for as long as he wishes.
What im wondering though... Is how long is it safe for him to 'brumate' in his cave for? Obviously he isnt going to be getting the temps, UV, and supplements that he so normally requires? Do I just leave him untill he fully wakes up, just bathing him every couple of days?? Im finding lots of info on Brumation, but not a lot of info on what I should be doing in the time he is asleep for.
Im just worried about him getting too cold, or under suplemented. Cheers for any feedback.
