Well I just got these critters from a friend and boy are they wonderful. These are my first bearded dragons making me and my boyfriend's lizard family SEVEN
Zeva has laid seven clutches of eggs this year and may be on an eight. But after three weeks she's shown no signs of laying yet. we have our fingers crossed though. Bubba is my my spoiled baby though. He HAS to be out of the tank everyday. He doesn't want to explore or walk around, all he wants to sit on your chest and be near you. He melts my heart everytime!
This is Zeva. We can't tell if she's just really fat or pregnant! What do you think? We can't feel any eggs and she still eats like a horse!
Very beautiful beardies
BTW, how did you teach Bubba to be so friendly with you.
My 4 m.o. beardie doesn't like when we pick her up, she is trying to escape and we haven't taken her outside yet.
I actually didn't tame him. We've only had him for about a month along with Zeva. We bought them from a friend who is sick and can't take care of them anymore. She said he's four years old and he spent everyday growing up sitting between her boobs. She'd where the built in bra tanks and he would just sit there. It takes alot to tame a lizard. We've had our lizards for about a year and none of them are as tame as Bubba even with daily handling. Granted our monitors were purchased full grown so they're gonna take ALOT of work. But he is definitely a sweet heart. Zeva is more aloof than him, she likes to walk around and explore but Bubba, he just wants to be where ever you are. He likes to sit by on you or on you at all times. I haven't taken him outside yet because the weather hasn't been permitting but i am very excited.

Beardies are as close to "naturaly tame" as lizards can get, and I think you can't compare their "tameness" with another lizard. It's much more difficult to tame a monitor or iguana than it is a beardie.
Love the pics! :love5:
Very true. I was just saying is takes work a tame any lizard, beardies i've heard are very easy though but i've never tamed a baby beardie before. The only babies i've had i actually only had for two weeks before they went to the pet store. I've got two left waiting to hatch out and MAYBE another clutch. I'm not sure but i'd think if she was pregnant when we got her she would have laid by now. it worries me all the time, I'm very paranoid about egg binding.
New tank setup still not complete. We finally had enough money to do away with their sand! We still have to grout everything so bugs and feces doesn't escape into the cracks and we want to get them a branch and a better basking stone. They love it so far. Zeva likes to pancake out on top of their Mayan pyramid like she's a beardie version of Godzilla.
