I know that iguanas can grow to 6 feet so what size cage would an adult need

Adult iggys need an enclosure that is around twice the size of them across and around six feet tall. Iguanas need tall branches to climb so yeah they need a pretty tall enclosure so they get enough exercise and are not bored

Yeah, you're looks at at least 8' tall, 8' wide, 4' deep - that's just about minimum for full grown
