Can supers be a staple?

I've heard different things. They are pretty cheap and the crickets are becoming a hassel. Are superworms an apropriate staple? Walter is 18'' now so he's big enough to eat them. If so,should I dust them every day? How should I gutload them? and how many do you think he would eat in a day? Thanks!

Yup, I use them as a staple. You need to dust them, because they have more phosphorus, and you can feed them potato or carrot. I just keep mine is oats and bran though, and I don't usually give them anything.
Juvies can have up to 15 a day, and adults shouldn't have more than 30-35 a week.

Supers should be well fed, remember what your bugs eat, your dragons eat. I feed my supers apples, carrots and different greens.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
