i am going to get 500 crickets in tomorrow ( i ordered them at 5pm and didnt know that it would take an extra day since i ordered them too late in the day )
i have a 10 gallon tank with weekly adds as the flooring and many cardboard hids and some crummpled paper for extra space and adds tapes on the outside walls to make it dark and so joker wont see them and hurt him self trying to get to them
im hopeing that 500 will last about a week so after they are gone clean out the cage and so it would get smelly
i will have a dish ready with a gut load, potato, squash, and soggy beardie pellets for them to eat (to be replaced everyday)
i was also thinking that maybe an hour before i feed them to joker to pull out what he will eat and give them only gut load so they will have nice orange bellies for joker
im hoping that 10 gallons will be enough space and that they dont excape
is there any way to keep them from excaping?
does it all sound reasonable?
and im interested in dubias can you feed the babys to a tiny dragon? (10 inches)
it will be hard to convince the boyfriend that roaches are the way to go...
When he starts smelling the crickets and the chirping annoys him them tell him roaches are the way to go. Dubias won't infest the home, don't stink, jump, and last longer. Your crickets will need some egg cartons or paper towel or tp tubes, better than crumpled paper. They also need alot of fresh air and dead ones need to be removed quickly or the others start dying.Any beardie can eat roaches. The rule is nothing bigger than the space between its eyes.
