do BD's store food

Do beardies store food in their mouths in the part that beards?
for some reason my male is doing this and was wondering if he was just being a hog and has too much in his mouth
and can't swallow it or if he is storing it....

how do i get it out of his mouth with out hurting him

Not usually. Are you sure he is storing the food--how can you tell?

I play with him... if I open my mouth and go aaaaahhhhhh... he will open his .. that is how I seen the food in there... only problem is now that I want to get it out.. he won't open his mouth for me...
