Freezer Incubator

Used freezer, Herpstat, 220 watt heat coil w/ 6 insulators, CPU fan with AC adapter and 2 hours of time was all it took.

I keep water is a dish at the bottom to maintain humidity.

Wow, so did you find a used freezer non working or is it a working freezer jusr not plugged in. I mini fridge would probably work also with all that good stuff you got going on in this one but for smaller quantities. Sweet DIY!!!! :wink:

I did the Craiglist thing and found a working freezer (20.00), but you can find them not working for free at a local appliance recycle center possibly. The toughest part was drilling through the wall of the freezer and feeding the probe, and electrical wires. The biggest expense is the Herpstat.
