Hi, I'm Nevaeh! I'm a new bearded dragon owner. I got a previously owned 5 year old male from a friend. His name is Mirage and I absoluly adorable (even though he's pooping as I'm typing this) I can't wait to get imersed in this community and learn more about beardies!

P.S. I added some photo's of my little guy. He does this weird thing where he props himself up by his tail and lets his legs dangle...

Welcome to the forum--- your little guy is doing the sexy leg pose- normal -- I see hes sporting a black beard hes either in distress or pain --please go over your surface basking temps and how your getting them-- NO stick ons they are inaccurate and give only ambient temps --- and the UVB your using -- coil or a long tube fixture

The blackbeard might be from the recent relocation, maybe...

Hi KarrieRee! Glad to know that the pose is normal! That photo is old, and was taken a couple of days after getting him. As for the setup concerns, the tank and equipment inside were what was given to us. Since getting him I've done lots of research and updated his enclosure. We now have an automated system that keeps the temperature within a certain range and turns his lights on/off at the set times.
