Hey all, after searching the web I have found a site that sells some decent stuff...

Is this ideal for what I need for Boris's viv?

Also can does the temp probe sit on his basking rock? next to it? or where? Has anyone got any pictures of where their probes are... for want of a better scentence

Yep that works just fine.
You want the probe exactly on your basking spot- the hottest spot where your beardie would hang out. It will take 30-45 minutes to get an accurate read.
Sorry, I don't have a digital probe anymore, upgraded to the temp gun, so no available pics.

You can get them at most home improvement places and wal-mart, target, etc.

You can check the humidity, put the probe on the basking spot, and check the ambient\cool side temps all at the same time.

Most people when using probe thermometers leave them mounted where they want them or you would have to wait 45 minutes every time you wanted to check you temps.

If you are like me and don't like the idea of leaving wires in beardies viv's you could use a infrared temp gun.
