I received a phone call from our vet hospital about an hour ago asking if I'd be interested in bringing one of my beardies in next Tuesday for an event they'll be hosting for a local children's hospital, to teach them about the wonderful world of beardies and reptiles in general and to give them a few hours of joy in their sad lives.
I am so honored that they thought of me (actually, I was the first name that popped into one of the vet tech's head when they were discussing what animals to have present that day) and my babies! Of course, I volunteered Pookie since he's such a social butterfly
Wow, Gina, that's great! I know you and pookie will keep them laughing with the stories of your babies, or either just interested in them as pets/kids.
Oh, how special is that! Congratulations! You sure will have LOTS of things/stories to share with them. Bet they'd like seeing pictures of little Gianna too knowing that Pookie is a dad. Can't wait for you to fill us in on all the details after Tuesday is overwith.
When I got home tonight, I told Pookie that I had a surprise for him, to which I got a  look. Then, I told him about the phone call and again, I got  . Finally, I told him that I volunteered him for the event because he loves people and kids, and loves to socialize. Again, I got  . That's when I asked him if it'd be ok, that I thought it'd be fun for him, and surprisingly, I DIDN'T get a  look. I guess the previous  looks meant that he was excited about what I was saying, and why he didn't do it at the end meant that he approved.
