Could I use reptiworms as a staple for a baby beardie? I've been feeding my baby 2 meals a day, the first being reptiworms and the second being crickets. The worms seam much easier and I was thinking of sticking to reptiworms for both meals of the day. Also I know the worms are naturally high in calcium so there's no need for dusting, but can I use these for the multivitamin I give twice a week?
You can use ReptiWorms as a staple. Although variety is always best, ReptiWorms can replace the crickets. You are correct that you will not need additional calcium dusting; however, multivitamins are still recommended, and dusting them twice a week should work fine, if not an extra day or two for your growing baby bearded dragon. Also, unless you have a mercury vapor bulb (MVB), you may also want to look into getting a vitamin D3 supplement as well, as vitamin D3 is necessary for calcium absorption, and if your calcium powder originally had vitamin D3 added in it, your bearded dragon may need some additional D3 if you are now feeding Reptiworms without dusting. However, that is not to say that ReptiWorms do not have any vitamin D3 in them, but one cannot be too sure.
