Single Scale with Hole?

I just noticed this scale on my bearded's tail? No other irregularities of his skin that I can tell. Any idea? Tail rot? Retained scale?

That scale does look damaged for some reason. I'd keep a close eye on it and take photos regularly so you can compare over time. If it stays as it is, it may not cause any problems, but if the damage appears to start spreading I'd have a vet take a look at it.

I agree with CooperDragon. Are there any loose crickets or other insects in the tank ? For now you can dab it with a mixture of betadine [ 1 part ] mixed with water [ 10 parts]

No crickets. I did find a runaway dubia yesterday.

I've never seen dubias bite.

Do you feed him superworms that might be hiding ? They can chew on things pretty good. Other than that have a very thorough look in the enclosure for any type of sharp object.
