Bold girl

So after slowly getting closer to Lilly during our first week together I decided to take her out today to give her water with the eyedroper (super super fiddly inside the tank since her head is so tiny and she's in places sometimes that are hard to reach).

She seemed fine at first, maybe a bit surprised but did drink a good amount and did not try to run from me at all.
After a couple of minutes though she turned brave and decided to jump me.

She jumped on my chest and climbed upwards to the shoulder (she might have been going for my throat, who knows).
I did not expect her to be this brave at 2 months old and staying with me for just over a week, even though I've been working really hard (and slow) to earn her trust :)

Anyway she seems more relaxed and less cautious about me after this.
And for her size, she really drank a lot!!

I love dragons that are not timid, I think your Lilly is going to be a joy to have. I betting that when you are finally able to let her start exploring, she is going to be a handful 😁
She already look extremely inquisitive, hopefully that continues on throughout her life🙂

Thanks, I hope so too and she is already so much fun to hang out with. Eating from my fingers, jumping on my hand and stuff. It's really fun to see the bonding stuff work out well.
I just feel like I underestimated her need for water. I just gave her some more sice she was close to the glass and she seemed to really enjoy the drink. She drank like four drops and they are huge for her...

How are you hydrating your girl Zsa Zsa at the moment?

It’s so great to see your getting closer with Lilith! She looks like she's in great shape and has settled into her home quite well. She is a small and brave girl, I think sooner or later you will need to organize something similar to what I did for Foxy in the living room. :D

I've been using a dropper but she isn't having it, but she eats her greens pretty good so I've been making sure there is plenty of water there.

Cool :)

Mine at that age was much more shy, like sliding behind his branch once I entered the room... No way to get near him with my hands at that time, also not with food. My solution was to mist the leaves of the plants, to let him lick off the water if he'd like. In addition to misting his greens, but especially when h was small he preferred eating from live plants.

She did at first too. Now she's not hiding anymore but rather drops herself flat on the branch she sits on when I come in the room. After a couple of seconds she will lift her head back up though.
As said, I'm not a big fan of taking her out but she seems to enjoy some water. Today she came to the glass after feeding (no surfing, she just sat there and looked at me) and when I opened the door she climbed out onto my hand on her own, which my boy would never have done at that age.
She will drink on my hand from the dropper but she will turn her head randomly while still doing the drinking motions. I think she understands that it is me who provides water for her but she doesn't seem to understand it comes out of the dropper yet.

My full grown beardies still do that lol. And if there is a girl around Sinatra head bobs as well. Talk about hitting a moving target 😉

I think that's totally fine. I'm sure you aren't catching her, and she seems to trust you already.
which my boy would never have done at that age.
Mine did that at an age of ~7 months. I remember he was 6 months when he touched my hand which I rested on his branch.
He was quite hesitant, despite there was never happening anything bad:
no other pets, no medical treatment, the only people here are me and my partner (no kids, no visitors), super calm household (no TV, music is only nature sounds and such at very low volume), and especially me having experience with pets including various herps.
I guess it is just their different personality, and maybe some early socializing your little one experienced. (I have no idea about the first three months of my Taco; had no chance to visit the breeder, all animals from there which are sold at the pet store here look very healthy, pet store also looks very responsible, but I just don't know about interactions with humans during his first three months.)
I would describe my approx. 10 - 11 month old Taco now as not timid, but introvert, and never aggressive but friendly and in doubt rather going away (saw him flattening his body and hissing at my husband once, never at me, never black beard). Somebody who despite his curiosity (me doing something on a table across or on the balcony is a thing!) rather looks than runs towards something. Somebody who briefly checks out something, ignores it, tries it out days later and then is fine with it. Somebody who looks and sits up when called, stretches when I attempt to open the enclosure and snuggles when touched, but usually doesn't come when called.

She will drink on my hand from the dropper but she will turn her head randomly while still doing the drinking motions. I think she understands that it is me who provides water for her but she doesn't seem to understand it comes out of the dropper yet.
I have never used such a dropper, neither for my dragon nor for me as an eye dropper. Is it visible clearly that water comes out of it, or is this a bit harder to see?

@ChileanTaco my boy is a lot like yours. Rather shy most of the time with some energy bursts. I used to call it his crazy hour but it is more like crazy three to four hours now (he just started pairing his headbobs with stomping as well).

Actually I did spray and mist at the beginning but Luis hated it and he's never been a fan of water.
The eyedropper is really cool, you squeez a little drop out that will tangle at the bottom and I put that on their mouth until they suck it in. Then squeez a little more for the next drop. You will see how much they drank by the air that will fill the tube when you release. Lilly drank about one cm and Luis will usually drink almost one whole dropper (about 2 or 3 ml or so) but has at times drank three of them.

Mine isn't showing any behavior like headbobs or stomping - still too young -, but sometimes has how I call it his "sports days": running and jumping, acting like wanting out and then climbs on my hand but then just jumps off and sometimes repeats that.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
