I figured instead of making many different daily threads of Chucks daily activities, I'd try to keep it to one centralized thread.
Today marks day 5 of Chucks new home and owners. The father of the house is the primary care taker but the mother has quickly jumped on board with looking up information on Chuck and his species. Though she still can't bring herself to touch him, she's very happy to watch him when he does his base jumping and glass dancing. There are two young females in the house as well. One appears to be a child but not too big and not too small. She's probably 7 or 8. The last female and member of the family is by far the smallest in this community. She often bangs on the glass in short intervals and rests her forehead against mine. We'll often spend times taking turns cocking our heads back and forth at each other.
My first day to the new home and I ate a large amount of super worms. I'd almost say it was the first time I'd ever had such deliciousness. I ate NINE of these bad boys in the course of 10 hours. The following day I ate a salad and a few worms. Since then I've been picky and haven't eaten nearly as much. Today I ate two super worms that the father put in front of me. One dropped on to his leg and I made sure it didn't go anywhere else! I'ma good guard dragon.. well I was at least. I didn't catch any more that dropped after that. Instead I wanted to sit on the arm of the sofa couch and just rest and watch everyone while they were doing their nightly duties. It's getting late for me as well. I've been tired ever since I had my sunbath this afternoon. Yep! A sunbath! I get one of these every afternoon around 2pm after the father picks the older child up from school. She'll sit above me and watch ... making sure I don't actually jump out. I do jump quite high and fast, for the record!
Some of my scales are beginning to turn white(ish) and I may be deciding to shed soon. We'll see though. The father took a tape measure out today while I was sprawled out on the sofa arm. From tip of tail to tip of the snout I measured in at 20" ! I'm only 9 months old. they should have named me Tank or Sherman, but I guess Chuck will do. I mean, there was that Chuck Norris guy. I hear he was a total bad... well yea you get the idea!
It's almost lights out for me, so I'm going to find my hidey hole and get comfy tonight.
Please tune in and see what happens tomorrow.. or maybe even the next day!
