Gecko care?

A young girl that is a family friend has a gecko, from my understanding it's kept a small plastic container without out heat. I'm taking in this little guy in. I'm not sure of its condition or what type it is. What are must haves for quick gecko care? I have a 10 gallon and a 29 gallon tank, crickets, multivitamins and calcium for my bearded dragons. Any help is appreciated.

Do you know what kind of gecko it is? I don't know much about their care aside from house geckos I had decades ago. Some of them are noctournal I believe.
