gulf coast/ Mississippi

Wondering who all here lives in mississippi... around the coast? long beach, biloxi, gulfport and such?

lol yeah i know... >_< nobody really lives on the coast anymore... even im concidering moving lol

I know what you mean...nothin is the same. I was lucky and have a hubby in the military so we had to leave..lol. But, ya know, once you leave you miss it...especially if you go north! I'm in MD and it is horrible. They dont know anything about seafood up here. Nothing to do at all! Its kinda like Waveland here, not much to it!

heh yeah... well some of the small mom and pop places are gonna go out of business soon... we just had alot of banks and casinos buy out alot of land here and walmart should be right down the road again by the summer time so theres no telling what this place is going to look like... im concidering moving to texas in a year or so

Yeah, alot of people I know have moved to Texas or north Louisiana. It really is sad. Life was so good before the bitch showed up..lol. I actually get to come home (new orleans) for christmas which is a hell of alot better than being in southern Maryland!! I didnt think that there were any mom and pop stores left. Did you mention that Wal-Mart is moving??

Yeah they're trying to making everyone believe that they're gonna bring casinos to long beach and big business and wal mart and such here so it will get more attention..but after listening to some of the REAL town meetings around...i think its a big bluff to keep people from abandoning the gulf coast... i mean ...its liveable...it just wont ever be the same...

I don't think anyhting will ever be the same. Even the existing casinos dont feel the same. The heart is gone from the gulf coast. I cant believe they are still trying to say they are gonna build casinos in LB. That will never happen. Too many elderly there that didnt want it in the first place. If the food is still the same and the friends are still the same, you will be ok. Once that changes, it's time to pack up and leave. LOL
