Well, that would make sense then if you only just got it. There is a big difference between a regular basking light & a MVB. I really think you will notice a difference with the fluorescent UVB turned off. I would also suggest that you make sure she can't get any closer than the 14" to it anywhere in the tank. Wanted to mention that since MVB's produce their own D3, you should use calcium WITHOUT D3 when using those bulbs. Since she is only 5 months old, you should be dusting with the appropriate calcium 5 days a wk, but only 1 feeding a day and with vitamins the other 2 days a wk, but only 1 feeding a day.
The MVB's have a 3 to 4 day burn in time so they can get hotter the 3rd & 4th day than they did the first day so if you haven't checked her temps lately, would be a good idea to double check them.
Might be a good idea to increase her baths for the next few days, that might help her relax and also increase her appetite again. Let us know how she is doing tomorrow, ok?
