Well, that would make sense then if you only just got it. There is a big difference between a regular basking light & a MVB. I really think you will notice a difference with the fluorescent UVB turned off. I would also suggest that you make sure she can't get any closer than the 14" to it anywhere in the tank. Wanted to mention that since MVB's produce their own D3, you should use calcium WITHOUT D3 when using those bulbs. Since she is only 5 months old, you should be dusting with the appropriate calcium 5 days a wk, but only 1 feeding a day and with vitamins the other 2 days a wk, but only 1 feeding a day.

The MVB's have a 3 to 4 day burn in time so they can get hotter the 3rd & 4th day than they did the first day so if you haven't checked her temps lately, would be a good idea to double check them.

Might be a good idea to increase her baths for the next few days, that might help her relax and also increase her appetite again. Let us know how she is doing tomorrow, ok?

I have corrected the lighting problem and moved some things around so she can't get to close to uvb. She has had a bath and some tlc and ate some greens. I have already noticed a difference in her alertness and activity. Thank you everyone for all your help. Think I might get some vanilla ensure today to feed her. :D

That is great she is doing better! I don't know if you where joking about the vanilla ensure, but I would not recommend feeding that to a dragon!! It contains milk products and also very high in other vitamins your dragon does not need!! If you want to treat her then get her some bugs or cactus leafs!!!! :D Good luck and keep us posted!! :D

Glad to hear she's doing better. :D I wouldn't recommend the vanilla Ensure either, dairy is very hard for them to digest. You could feed a slurry of squash baby food and even a little chicken baby food mixed in, dilute a little and put drops on her nose for her to lick off. You could even add a pinch of supplements (depending on what day it is) to it.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
