How to heat a dubia colony bin?

Hey I am a newbie planning on breeding Dubias instead of feeding circkets. how should I heat their bin with a heat lamp, repti heat pad, or a normal heat pad you can buy from a pharmicy? thanks to all who anwser in advance sorry for the bad spelling my spelling isn't very good, for a 13 year old.

You have a couple of options.

1. Under the tank heater
2. Human heat pad available at pharmacy, wal-mart, etc. Make sure it does not have an auto off function (I was using this method until recently)
3. Red heat lamp. I have seen some folks that cut an opening in the top and cover it with wire screen and place a lamp atop of that.
4. Flexwatt heat tape - I like this solution the best. You can order the tape in the length and width you want and wire it with a dimmer switch to control the temps. I believe that it tops at about 110* F. This is what I am currently using.

thanks for anwers have one more question do you need a thermostate for the heat tape, and where can you get. I am wanting to plan ahead because I have to get into marching band before I get my beardy

I didn't use a thermostat, but you surely can. I just monitor mine with a thermometer and try to keep the ambient temperature around 88*-90* F.
