I earnt my slave badge yesterday.

When lowering Dex into her laybox she started squirming like she does just before she leaps.
She was only inches away from the bulb as i was lowering her down.
She lept.
In order to save her from getting burnt I shoved my other hand onto the lamp :shock:

My left hand from tip of my thumb to wrist is now an angry blistering burn.

And you know what?
Id do it again in a heartbeat to save my little one even a moment of pain.

I'm glad your hand is doing better. Yes, they do know when we are sick, injured or upset for some reason. We have had 2 in the past that comfort us in such instances. I have read of beardies realizing they, in these cases, they tried to eat out of your hand and got your finger by mistake and feel bad about it. They let you know they feel bad.

That happened to me before. Poor Felix was afraid to eat out of anything.
