shedding skin

Just a quick couple of questions for you experts out there. Our 6 month old BD is shedding his skin for the first time since we have had him

he has gone a paler colour ,is that normal?

he is a little less willing to be handled, I assume this is like a snake would be?

how long does it take to shed his skin and any advice please?

Yes when they shed they do get a pale and cloudy look and many can become a touch grumpy during a shed As for a timeframe they are all different.Younger beardies tend to shed frequently and quickly but as they get older the sheds are farther in between and take longer to complete.If you want to help the process out then you can increase the frequency of baths but whatever you do dont pull the shed off as it could injure the scales.Good Luck

the turning a light grayish color is normal. they can get a little fussy. baths help with shedding.
