Silly Question

I am rather new to the beardie world and i adopted a baby dragon from our local petsmart. When we first brough malyc home he was all a muddy brown color but now he seems to be turning orange. It started with little redish orange spots under his ears but everytime he sheds he seems to have a bit more orange tinge. He/she is now orange-ish behind his eyes(the spiky ridges near his neck) and a bit on the tops of his front arms. Is it normal for a beardie to change colors? He/she has almost doubled in size since we bought the little one home.

Beardies that are going to have color usually get brighter with each shed. But on the other hand your baby came from petsmart and rarely do they keep them warm enough this would have caused your little one to appear muddy in color as well. Having your baby under proper UVB and temps will help to show their true color...if they are cold they will appear much darker with lack of color.
