Sleeping during the day under basking light?

Received Ryu 11 days ago. He is 3 months old and about 11 inches long. He is in a 20 gal. long tank for now. We are in the process of finishing his large terrarium. Use the reptisun 10.0 that is about 10 inches away from his basking spot. Basking temp is 105. Substrate is a paper towel. Cage is very basic for now. He is eating Endive, collard and mustard greens in the morning and Dubia roaches and phoenix worms (sometimes crickets) in the afternoon/evening. Only dust his food with calcium when he doesn't eat phoenix worms. Have given him multivitamin once since I got him. Soaking every other day because he was in head and tail shed when I got him, now is in body shed. Have used coconut oil to help with shedding. His tail had a tail nip before I got him, which seems to be having some difficulty shedding.
About three days ago I fed him phoenix worms ( a lot...because he was continuing to eat) and he threw up shortly after. Freaked me out pretty bad but, I believe he may have just overeaten. He has been pooping every day since and acting fine... except for today.
He has been sleeping during the day today. He is sleeping under his basking light. I gave him a bath, he pooped in the bath (of course) and he ate all three times that I brought him food. I just want to make sure I shouldn't be concerned about the sleeping during the day. Every other day I have had him he hasn't done this so I was concerned something could be wrong. He seems bright eyed and "normal" when he is awake.

Sorry for the super long story hahaha. Wanted to give as much info as possible to see if anyone had any suggestions. Will of course take him to the vet if it seems needed, but as of now, I don't know if I'm just being an overprotective mommy or not.

Hi. What kinds of lights are you using? Coil/compactor tube? Is the basking light a bright white light? How are you taking the temps?

Reptisun 10.0, it's a tube light. As for basking light, it's a bright white light made for basking. Taking the temps using a digital thermometer with a probe.

What brand and wattage of basking light? When searching for help, the most info you can give us is best. unfortunately not all lights are made equal.

Normal .... all mine do this , skinks and beardies.

Well really they just close their eyes and nap , doesn't take much (sound or nearby movement , ie someone walking past) for them to be fully awake.

It's a t8 and I cannot remember the brand of the heat bulb. National geographic or something I believe? It's a 100 watt bulb.
