Glad to see your beardie's getting better, most people keep their thermometer in the viv all the time, any chance of showing a picture of the little one?

The temps were 102.7 on the warm side and 78.9 on the cool side!!!

They sound good, just keep an eye on the temps, because the themometer can fluctuate with the lighting, good job!

No you dont have to take it out it should stay in there.Put the probe on the basking surface(you will have to tape it down as the sticky pad dries out quickly and the box on the cool side and it will read both temps and the humidity so after that all you have to do is check the readings daily to determine if adjustments are needed.

What do you mean?He had digital therms with probes?So you returned the accurite then or are you keeping that also?
How long did you leave them in for and did you lay the probe on the surface for at least 45 minutes?WHat were the temps?
She may have stayed away for a bit but she will get used to them they really do need to be in there unless you want to invest in an infared temp gun but they are a bit pricey?I have them and they work well but in the meantime its really important we get a good reading on those temps.

Your beardie will get used to them! My Lilly loves hers so much that I can rarely actually use it as a thermometer. Right now she has it knocked down and is using it as a pillow (has not moved from that spot in 24 hours). A few days ago she propped it up against her teddybear and made a cave for her head. I love having it in there so that I can glance a few times a day and be 100% sure that her temps are okay .

I have 2 in there one on each side. The readings are 103.4 and 80.7 I think her tank is perfect temperature. Ooh how adorable. You have a Teddy bear in her tank? What is okay to put in her tank as a toy??? And how do I tell if she is male or female. I just guessed
